The elephant is the symbol of strength, insight and prudence.  Frequently, the elephant is depicted as offering flowers to Buddha, and is considered one of the Seven Treasures of Buddhism.  The elephant is the matchless symbol of strength, greatness and dignity, either divine or humane, endowed with super intelligence rarely found among other beasts of the animal kingdom.  For feng shui purposes, the elephant is placed to face the main entrance door to symbolize the arrival of good fortune.
