The snow lion mask is one of a set of five Bhutanese masks known as The Five Dignitaries. The snow lion symbolizes vibrant freshness, an uplifting and youthful energy. The snow lion represents the air element. The other four masks of the set of The Five Dignitaries include the tiger, the “khyung,” a gargoyle bird, the dragon, and the horse. The Nga Chham mask is made in Bhutan of Row Shing, a tree found only in the forests of Rolang, Trashigang. Blocks of wood are carefully hollowed out to create the mask. The entire process to make a mask takes eight days. Painting is done on the ninth day. An additional two to three days for masks with horns is required. Made in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. These masks are the perfect addition to a martial arts studio.Height: 7”
